Concerned about the health and privacy issues surrounding the forced “deployment” of smart meters? I am.

I’ve sent emails and phone calls to all of our local and state reps – with NO REPLY.

Here’s what I say – Hit ‘em with your purse! If you contact these ‘representatives’ and they do not take the time to listen to you – Do Not Vote for them!

Forced smart meters are radiation without representation.

in Ohio – send your thoughts to the following and ask for permanent and free opt-out laws and laws that protect our freedom of choice. Or copy and paste the letter below:

We have a right to the peace and protection of our well-being in our own homes. Citizens of Ohio must not allow this untested, unsafe technology into our communities. To:  The Ohio Attorney General’s Office, Attorney General Mike DeWine  Ohio Public Utilities Commission,  Commissioner Steven D. Lesser

I just signed the following petition addressed to: The Ohio Attorney General’s Office and The Department of Public Utilities. We ask that the State Regulatory Agencies halt smart meters on our behalf.

—————- Enforce The US Energy Policy Act of 2005 – halt wireless/smart meters. The US Energy Policy Act of 2005 states that the Smart Meter Program is not a mandate. Smart meters include wireless meters that transmit microwave radiation.

Citizens have a right to Opt out of the Smart Meter Program. Our rights have been violated. The State Department of Public Utilities and Utilities have installed these meters without the legal consent of the residents of Ohio. They have ignored demands from residents to remove the meters. Many residents would rather have meters hardwired to the land lines, a much safer and environmentally friendly alternative.

Wireless/Smart meters cause negative health issues as a result of microwave radiation. Symptoms range from insomnia, acoustic buzzing, ringing in the ears, headaches, nervous tension, heart palpitations, and skin conditions. This technology also presents security breaches, interference of medical devices and, false claims of energy savings.

There is mass opposition and support for alternatives to wireless meters. Never in the history of mankind have all living things been exposed to this level of microwave radiation pulsing 24 hours a day non-stop. We have a right to the peace and protection of our well-being in our own home. We ask that the State Regulatory agencies advocate this on our behalf.

Citizens of Ohio must not allow this untested, unsafe technology into our communities. Please sign and distribute this petition to friends, family and co-workers. —————-

Sincerely,  [Your name and city]
