All chapters will be complete and ready to send to layout by September 15, 2024.
The publishing date will be before the end of 2024. I’ll let you know as we get near.
The Process:
Each chapter will follow a question-and-answer format to simplify the writing process and save you time. We will email you custom questions specific to you and your topic, story, problem, solution, etc., for further exploration. Once you have finished answering the questions, kindly return your responses to us. Our team of experienced editors can meticulously polish and refine your chapter, ensuring it is ready for publication. However, the final decision to accept any changes will ultimately be up to you.
To enhance readability, each chapter will be short and may include up to 1800 words. We value your expertise and trust your judgment in curating the most relevant and impactful content for the book. Please avoid creating answers that are promotional or sales-focused. Additionally, please refrain from promoting any political or religious ideology. Place importance on objective facts, data, your experience, and compelling evidence rather than individual opinions or beliefs.
We will include your brief bio and contact information at the end of your chapter so readers can contact you directly.
Our team also includes a skilled interior book designer for e-book and paperback layouts. The paperback will be 6×9 with a color cover and white interior pages.
Firebird Inked, an imprint of Millennium Star Publishing, will publish the book.

This anthology is dedicated to charity – thus the donation. The donation from our previous anthology was used to send fun and colorful pillowcases to children’s hospitals through Case for Smiles. This current anthology (WELLNESS THROUGH WORDS) is doing something similar. Your chapter donation will send a large, curated box of handmade gifts to women and children who are experiencing homelessness. Your donation is tax deductible through our partnership with Enchanted Makeovers ( Healing our Communities’ Hearts Through the Power of Handmade), a 501(c)(3) organization.
A NOTE FROM TERRY GRAHL – FOUNDER OF ENCHANTED MAKEOVERS
To me, a long-term shelter is like a hospital. When people go to hospitals, they go to heal. These are women and children who have faced unimaginable circumstances. Something is hurting them, something is broken. There could be physically something broken because of the abuse, but it is mostly the internal things that need to be healed. But when the only programs in shelters cover basic needs, the hurt in these women’s and children’s hearts remains.
You see hospitals these days doing murals, bringing in color, art, and beautiful details to make things feel less institutional. Hospitals are moneymakers; unfortunately, shelters aren’t. Sometimes, people want stats and scientific proof as to why women need an uplifting, hopeful, clean, and dignified environment. A common perspective is, “Surely anything is better than nothing.” I don’t agree with that.
I would say, can I come to your home and see how you live? Why do you need that nice house, that nice bedspread? Why can’t I just give you an old bedspread from a nursing home? That would be fine. It goes so much deeper than being functional. This is emotional and spiritual.
